EXCELSIS SPEECH SOLUTIONS PLATFORM [ESSP]

EXCELSIS Speech Solutions Platform [ESSP] is an open and standard-based platform which offers a uniform environment for the development of speech applications. The platform integrates various speech technology such as speech recognition, speaker verification and text-to-speech. It is hardware-independent and supports telephony systems such as IVR [Interactive Voice Response], telephony cards, as well as VoIP [Voice over Internet Protocol].

The development of application software can be carried out using international standards. Speech dialogues are modelled by us in line with the UML approach. Development takes place in Java, based on the EXCELSIS Speech Component Model. The VoiceXML generated during runtime is interpreted by the VoiceXML browser. The installation on the requested telephony or application servers can then be carried out without adaptation of the programme code.

Speech applications based on EXCELSIS Framework can either be directly installed and run on the telephony server, or they are configured in such a way that they run on a J2EE compatible application server and communicate via HTTP with the telephony server.

EXCELSIS Speech Solutions Platform features the following functions:

Multimodality and Multilingualism for "voice-in-whatever-out" communication.

  • Multilingualism supporting over 20 different languages [incl. English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, etc.]
  • Voice browser for navigation in the voice web
  • Information can be offered via text messaging, MMS, e-mail, fax, etc.
  • Call transfer [skill based routing] with intelligent call distribution

EXCELSIS Speech Components shorten development times for individual solutions

  • Easy to use JavaBeans component model based on the Servlet framework for VoiceXML
  • Call profile with user-specific settings, customer information, etc.
  • Caller authentication with specific identification mechanisms [incl. voiceprint for speaker verification]
  • Standardised dialogue components or objects such as time, date, telephone numbers, confirmation & correction, navigation elements, shortcuts, etc.

Open Adapters for integration into existing IT and telephony environments

  • Business objects adapters for integration into proprietary transaction systems
  • Technical adapters for use of middleware technologies such as CORBA, J2EE or JDBC
  • Integration with third party standard software [e.g. CRM and CTI tools]

System Management Tools for stable operation

  • Administration, control and log analysis via browser interface
  • Usage statistics of specific business transactions over a certain period of time
  • Display of system information and real-time statistics
  • Turning on and off of nodal points, channels, business functions or the whole system
  • Administration of personal information [access prompt, voiceprints] and customer profiles
  • Notification [e-mail, pager, text message, etc.] of unusual situations
