Swiss Institute as Partner for IT-Security for Voice Biometrics
Cooperation with
international institute for management and technology
Stuttgart, Germany, 28.05.2008 – Excelsis and the "international institute
for management and technology" [iimt] of the University of Fribourg in
Switzerland launch a partnership.
With the intensified cooperation both organizations target for synergies
in research and development, especially for the topic of IT-security for
speech based applications. In the field of so-called voice biometrics
technologies numerous tasks regarding the security of speech based voice biometric
applications result. Excelsis customers benefit from iimt’s acknowledged
IT-security know-how as well as its independence as scientific research
institute.
The cooperation is based on a successful model: Already in 2003 the renowned
institute for computer science at the University of Zurich under the direction
of today's director of the iimt, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Stephanie Teufel, several
Excelsis projects in the field of IT-security. Christian Sauter, Excelsis CEO,

About iimt
The "international institute of management in technology" [iimt] is an institute
of the department for economic and social science of the University of Fribourg.
One underpinning of the iimt is the chair for management in information
and communication technology [IKT] of the institute. Under the chair
of Prof. Dr. Stephanie Teufel the scientists at the iimt conduct research and
development in the fields of management of ICT, innovation and technology management
as well as project and security management. The other underpinning is continuing
education for management in ICT as well as utility [electricity, water,
gas]. Since its foundation in 1995 the institute has educated almost 600
students.
