EXCELSIS chooses VoiceObjects technology for industry-specific voice solutions

VoiceObjects and EXCELSIS sign OEM agreement

Bergisch Gladbach/Stuttgart, 5.6.2007. VoiceObjects, a leading vendor of phone application servers for personalised self-service phone applications and EXCELSIS announced today that they have signed an extensive OEM agreement. The provider of speech portals and voice solutions will use VoiceObjects technology as its development and operating platform to provide industry-specific voice offerings for a wide range of different businesses.

Based on a "design once – deploy anywhere" architecture the VoiceObjects phone application server enables highly scalable, carrier-grade deployment and management of personalised, over-the-phone voice, video, text and web self-service applications. This ensures that the caller can directly manage a variety of regularly recurring procedures. As a result call centre staff have more time to focus on delivering individual consulting services.

"New business opportunities for developing innovative and industry-specific solutions are opened up to us by using the VoiceObjects phone application server," explains Christian Sauter, chairman of the board, EXCELSIS. "Now we are able to provide customers with a more flexible offering, while at the same time exploring new markets with customised call management systems. Moreover, VoiceObjects’ technological expertise also helps our customers to significantly shorten their development cycles."

"EXCELSIS has a complementary business strategy to VoiceObjects, making the company an ideal partner as we seek to extend our customer base," said Beatriz Infante, president and chief executive officer, VoiceObjects. "High-quality solutions from EXCELSIS enable companies to design personalized customer self-service experiences efficiently, delighting customers by optimizing the user experience."

Besides cross-industry solutions EXCELSIS is particularly well known as a vendor of speech portals for financial services, public authorities, transportation, utilities and Pay-TV organisations. With the VoiceObjects phone application server as the core technological component, EXCELSIS is now able to deliver maximum flexibility to its customers.

Furthermore, EXCELSIS customers will profit from an independent and open solution that runs on any VoiceXML platform allowing customers to easily upgrade or even migrate to another vendor without the need for rewriting a single line of code.

VoiceObjects recently announced VoiceObjects 7, which provides Media Platform Drivers for the latest versions of all major voice and text browsers – VoiceXML-based Interactive Voice Response [IVR] systems for voice as well as Unstructured Supplementary Service Data {USSD] -based browsers for text-based applications. Additionally, the award-winning solution also supports any mobile web browser based on XHTML 1.0.
