T-Com certifies EXCELSIS Voice Solutions

The routing configuration interface adapter by EXCELSIS allows any kind of communication systems to be connected to T-Com's intelligent network.

Stuttgart, 6.7.2005. The Routing Configuration Interface [RCI] adapter developed by EXCELSIS has been certified for use in T-Com's intelligent network. EXCELSIS is thereby one of the first companies to offer a platform-independent and certified solution for T-Com's intelligent network which was introduced this spring.

The intelligent network provides extended call forwarding functions which can be directly accessed by any application via the RCI adapter. Existing TK/IT systems benefit from the extended routing possibilities by using just one technology.

Incoming calls can be routed as required by business processes today through a combination of business logic and the current code target data which are passed from the TK/IT systems to the RCI, spanning all locations without doubling the call costs for post routing. The connection of the IT/TK systems to the RCI takes place through Web-services and the T-Com certified EXCELSIS RCI adapter. Using this data route, the RCI also passes comprehensive call data and status reports onto systems so that all data required for further processing is constantly available along with online monitoring and reporting tools.

The EXCELSIS RCI Adapter is a component of the Insonic Voice Solutions Platform developed by EXCELSIS. It is an open, standards based platform which provides a standardised environment for the development of multi-lingual speech applications. The platform integrates voice technologies, like speech recognition, speaker verification and text to speech.

Furthermore, the adapter can be made available to potential buyers as a Java web application. Thereby, it is possible to make use of its functionality quite easily and technology and platform independently.

"Through the interplay of our speech dialogue solutions together with the possibilities of T-Com's intelligent network we are in a position to offer our customers unique services, which, to name just one example, offer extended performance with less telephony channels required and therefore lower costs." This, according to Christian Sauter, CEO of EXCELSIS.
