With "0800-Stuttgart", no question about the
Football World Cup remains open. Minister Pfister declares EXCELSIS the
winner of the Service World Champion competition.
Stuttgart, 30.11.2005. The House of Economy in Stuttgart yesterday hosted the
festive announcement of the winners of the Service World Champion. The minister
of finance and deputy prime minister of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg,
Ernst Pfister, handed the first prize to Christian Sauter of the EXCELSIS Group
executive board for "0800-Stuttgart" - a speech portal which tourists, fans and
citizens of Stuttgart can call during the Football World Cup. The central phone
number gives information on events, traffic information, public transport as
well as emergency services. The speech portal is of course available in several
languages so that foreign fans can receive the requested information from
"0800-Stuttgart" in their language. Deputy prime minister Pfister, who wants the
visitors of Stuttgart to feel comfortable, congratulated the winner.
Marc Ollhäuser, co-founder of EXCELSIS and inventor of the speech portal
"0800-Stuttgart", is responsible for innovations and development of speech
solutions at EXCELSIS. "Winning the title "Service World Champion" shows that
innovative speech solutions have arrived in the market and that the citizens
have understood the use of such a speech portal. For this has never been done
before at a large event such as the Football World Cup - a central phone number
which answers all questions about the World Cup, regardless in which language
you call" says Marc Ollhäuser.
The competition "service world champion" was announced by the competence
centre Customer Care e.V. of the region of Stuttgart. Together with the
Stuttgart Marketing GmbH and Hit Radio Antenne 1, as well as further partners,
all businesses, institutions, associations and societies are invited to develop
and realise innovative ideas and services around the World Cup 2006. Patron of
the "Service World Championship" is Ernst Pfister MdL, minister of finance and
deputy prime minister of Baden-Württemberg.
