Dr. Nils Herda [1969] is managing director of EXCELSIS DACH. He
studied information systems at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg and
was subsequently scientific assistant at the department for information
systems, particularly for office and administration automation.
During this time he was responsible
for the commercial development of Internet-based information systems
for financial service providers. After his promotion in software engineering,
Dr. Herda became assistant to the executive board responsible for IT
at the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg and subsequently took over
the department strategic platforms-management/multimedia as director, with
responsibility for electronic distribution channels. He then changed to EXCELSIS and now heads the Professional Services department as member of the management board.
Besides his work, Dr. Herda has published various works, amongst others
on innovative speech-based dialogue systems and was international
consultant for the Fraunhofer Institute for industrial engineering and
organisation.
