The roughly 650 cable car companies in Switzerland, with their 2,400 cable car and ski lift facilities, form the economic backbone of many tourist-oriented mountain regions. In the core business of passenger transportation, the cable cars achieve a turnover of around CHF 840 million a year with over 11,000 employees, of which 84% are employed from September to March. In total, the cable cars transport around 310 million passengers per year. The annual investment for new and replacement facilities amounts to about CHF 200 million.

Callers can retrieve a variety of information via a speech portal designed and operated by us. Such information includes details about the current states of the pistes, the state of the cross-country ski runs and sledge runs as well as local weather conditions. Besides Swiss German, German and French, the value added service "SnowPhone" also understands English. The information is updated every 10 minutes. SnowPhone uses the winter sports report from the Swiss tourism service "Schweiz Tourismus" as its basis.
