CITY OF AUGSBURG - TOP SERVICE WITH CITIZEN HOTLINE
The German city of Augsburg is the third
largest city in Bavaria, with more than 260,000 inhabitants. The
citizen's advice bureaus were often inundated with telephone inquiries for
processing. This meant long waiting times. The city therefore needed a
solution which relieved employees and provided citizens with
important services even outside office hours.
Together with the public administration of Augsburg, EXCELSIS
implemented a voice portal. Now, information can be accessed around the
clock. Callers are led to the required information, such as addresses,
opening hours, car registration information, residence registration,
passport application as well as general information on income taxes,
through a simple and intuitive dialogue in natural speech.
