The Voice Application Server, used to control the personalised self services, is an important component of our turnkey solutions. For frontend development and operations, we are working with a high performance OEM version of Voxeo VoiceObjects which we extend with numerous components in the fields of configuration and integration.
The Voice Application Server is designed to significantly simplify the operation and administration of personalised self services. It comprises a personalisation engine, functionality for application stability and scalability and supports the integration of company data as well as direct logging of data. This data can then be interpreted with the analyser.
The Voice Application Server is designed to be installed at small and medium-sized businesses. It is equally suitable for large companies and telecommunication providers who want to administer several clients with their own portals in one single infrastructure. Of course, we are using this software for our own voice portal hosting platform and the SaaS model as well.
The server integrates with all other components needed like VoiceXML browser/IVR, speech recognizer (Automatic Speech Recognition - ASR), text-to-speech (TTS) and voice biometrics.
The Excelsis Voice Application Server is an open platform designed to develop voice portals in accordance with the VoiceXML standard. It is based on the Excelsis Integration Framework and on technologies from our OEM partner Voxeo VoiceObjects.
The Excelsis Voice Application Server is platform-independent and supports all relevant IVR platforms via corresponding media platform drivers. It also integrates with the respective speech technology components: speech recognition (ASR), text-to-speech and voice biometrics.
All data collected by the Excelsis Voice Application Server is centrally stored at the Infostore. Using the Analyzer, this data can be interpreted with business intelligence or data warehouse tools.
Single applications can be put into operation with the Control Center which also allows for monitoring the voice application server status. With the integrated hot deployment functionality, new releases of an application can be rolled out without having to stop the system. Calls that are on the application system while the update is progress are handled by the current release. At completion all new calls are then answered by the new release. The old release is deactivated only after all calls that were handled by it are closed.
