With Excelsis Meter Reading, utilities' customers can enter their meter reading via telephone on a precise deadline, without having to spend a long time on hold. In a fully automated dialog, the system requests all necessary data, reacts to individual divergence and offers help, if needed.

 

The dialog starts with a welcoming message, then the customer has to identify with his customer number and, if applicable, his password. Afterwards, he can enter his meter reading. The actual consumption is compared to the anticipated one and saved if plausible.

 

The meter reading is captured and processed comprehensively, an important benefit to the utility. This consumer service eases internal processes, saves costs and avoids media discontinuity as well as waiting times for consumers.

 

The solution has a standardised interface to SAP IS-U, the most important industry solution for utilities. The meter reading data can not only be transferred directly into the SAP system, but also into CRM systems and data bases. The utility can also retrieve the data via a web console or receive it in an export file.

 

Excelsis Meter Reading is available as SaaS, hosted by Excelsis. For an initial set-up fee and individual variable payments, the system is run in the Excelsis Hosting Centre. The standardised solution guarantees small capital expenditure and a fast ROI.

 

Further speech products like automated customer surveys or info portals can easily be integrated into the system.
